Nubank ranked #1 in Forbes' list in Brazil and Mexico

Nu secures its eighth #1 spot in Brazil and leads in Mexico for the fifth consecutive year

São Paulo, April 8, 2026 –  Nubank has ranked #1 in Brazil for eight years in a row and in Mexico for the fifth consecutive year in the Forbes' World's Best Banks ranking. The ranking is based on an independent survey conducted by market research firm Statista with more than 54,000 bank customers across 34 countries. This recognition reinforces Nubank's commitment to building the largest and most loved retail banking franchise globally.

In Brazil, Nu became the largest private financial institution by number of customers, reaching 113 million with an activity rate of 86%. In Mexico, the company reached 14 million customers, advanced its banking license process, and introduced roughly half of its customers to their first-ever credit card.

Beyond Forbes' World's Best Banks, Nubank's impact has been recognized through several global distinctions, including Time's 100 Most Influential Companies and Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies.

The Forbes World's Best Banks ranking is determined through an independent survey of more than 54,000 bank customers across 34 countries, conducted in collaboration with market research firm Statista. Participants evaluate institutions across five key criteria, recognizing excellence in banking, fintech, and financial advisory services.
